Season 24/25 mission

 
 
 

Being an Altituder is an awesome way of spending a season full of adventure. You will be living full-time in a ski resort for nearly six months of the year, sharing in community with other Christians, watching God at work in your life, skiing loads and loads, making friends for life and strengthening your faith. Every day is an adventure, and every day you’ll be meeting amazing people. You’ll be a Ski Angel helping rescue people in trouble, you’ll host our open chalet evenings, you’ll worship till your heart sings, you’ll learn how to make a meal for 30, you’ll ski some more, you’ll dance on the tables at après, you’ll help lead a church, oh, and did we mention the skiing?  It’s full-on, exhilarating and life-changing. Come with plenty of joy, energy, with a servant-heart and ready to love like Jesus. BECOME AN ALTITUDER

 
 
 

ADVENTURE

  • Ski with a bunch of senders - amazing skiers who’ll challenge you to get even better

  • Get first lifts and float through the fresh pow

  • Slap the tourers on and go where the ski lifts can’t

  • Ski Angel – get the yellow jacket on and help save lives – literally

  • Hardcore option: combine your season at Altitude with a New Gen ski instructor qualification. Extra cost, and extra effort, but you’ll become an even awesomer skier. Ask us for details


    GOD

  • This is your time to spend a season with God.

  • Get to know His plans for your life.

  • Spend time with God every day – on the mountain, in your quiet time, in the prayer room, on a walk, with a mentor, or with friends. This is your time to focus on God

  • Worship God and let your heart sing - encounter the Spirit as we worship by the log fire in our cosy lounge

  • Seminars by fantastic speakers and bible studies – we’ll go deeper in small groups and regular mentor sessions


    CHALLENGE

  • Explore and grow your spiritual gifts in a safe space, whether it be prophecy, preaching, worship, you name it we’ll encourage you to give it a go.

  • Speak in front of others with our daily “3 Minutes of Fire”

  • Lap the snow-park and learn to do jumps and tricks

  • Stretch yourself in prayer, and learn lifelong habits

 
SERVE 

  • Ski Angel - you’ll tirelessly carry skis, pick people up, help them find lost friends, get thrown-up on, talk to anyone, and save lives, all the time smiling and showing God’s love by our actions.

  • Church - this is your chance to get stuck in to running a church. Altitude Church is church by seasonnaires for seasonnaires. Whether you want to preach, lead worship, do the sound desk, run livestream, there are so many opportunities for you to try new gifts and to practice your existing ones. Don’t worry we won’t make you do anything you’re not comfortable with or ready for.

  • Welcome new guests and visitors as they come into our chalet. We’re all about a warm welcome, a lovely cup of tea or a nice cold beer, a slice of cake, and a smiling face.


    ATMOSPHERE 

  • Friends for life – spend a season with your new best mates, hanging out, skiing, and sharing life together.

  • Dwell a little longer on the mountain top and soak up a stunning sunset

  • Join a team ski with seasonnaires – it’s a great time for chairlift chats

  • The legendary Beer & Burger Nights – great food, a banging playlist, and chill vibes. Have amazing conversations and get asked all sorts of questions about our faith

  • Community - you will be living in a chalet of at least 25 people, so plenty of time for fireside chats, silly games, a beer on the balcony or a singalong in the kitchen.
