Become a Mini-Altituder

Season 26/27 Outreach Mission

Coming to Altitude Mission for four to six weeks would be an immersive, stretching, and deeply formative experience. You’d step away from everyday routines and into a focused season of growth—spiritually, personally, and practically—living in close community, serving with purpose, and being challenged to go deeper in your faith.

It’s a space to learn, reflect, and be equipped, while building meaningful relationships and gaining clarity, confidence, and direction for what God may be calling you into next.

FAQ’s

What will I do as a Mini-Altituder?

As a Mini Altituder, you won’t just observe Altitude Mission—you’ll step into it as a participant in God’s mission. Over four to six weeks, you’ll join the daily rhythms of prayer, worship, and teaching. Not simply for personal growth, but to fuel a life that is outward-facing and engaged with others.

You’ll serve practically in and around the mission—whether that’s washing up, baking, or helping prepare meals—learning that mission often looks like faithfulness in the unseen and everyday. These are not just tasks, but opportunities to contribute to a wider culture of hospitality and welcome.

You’ll also be involved with Ski Angels, stepping into relational and presence-based outreach both on the mountain and occasionally in resort. This is a chance to learn how to notice people, engage naturally, and be part of what God is doing beyond structured settings.

Living in community is central to the experience. As you share life with others, you’ll learn how to carry faith into relationships, conversations, and team life, discovering that mission is not an event but a way of living. You’ll receive input and mentoring along the way, helping you reflect on what you’re experiencing and how to live it out.

Once a week, Mini Altituders and Altituders work together to clean the chalet from top to bottom. Even this is part of the mission—learning to serve others, take responsibility, and contribute to a space that enables hospitality and encounter.

What are you looking for in a Mini-Altituder?

A great Mini Altituder is someone who is open to being sent, not just shaped. They’re curious about God and willing to step into situations where faith becomes active and visible in everyday life.

They show up ready to engage—not only in community, but in the opportunities around them. They’re willing to serve, take initiative, and look beyond themselves, asking: “Where is God at work, and how can I join in?”

We’re looking for humility and resilience, but also a growing awareness of others—a person who listens well, notices people, and is willing to step out of their comfort zone to engage relationally and intentionally.

You don’t need to have everything figured out, but you should have a genuine desire to be involved in what God is doing, investing in the people, place, and rhythms of Altitude Mission. Above all, they trust that these weeks are not just about personal growth, but about learning to live a life that is available, responsive, and sent.

Can I join for any part of the season?

We have 4 start dates for mini Altituders. One each month from December to March.

Where will I stay?

You’ll stay in Chalet Altitude with all the Altituders and the team.

Will I be able to Ski Angel?

Everyone with a REC 2-day Outdoor First Aid training and a good level of skiing (assessed when you arrive - competent on red slopes) will be able to Ski Angel a full shift. If you’re not there on the skiing front yet, you can Ski Angel at Folie Douce and get the chairlift down.

Is Ski Angel Training Included?

Please note that Ski Angel training is not included while in resort. However, training can be completed in advance either by attending our specialised Ski Angel first aid training courses at Stampwell Farm, Beaconsfield HP9 2EX (dates tbc) or independently through the online resource https://recfirstaid.net/

Completing training beforehand and being a competent skier on red runs ensures you’re well prepared and able to fully engage in Ski Angels outreach during your time at Altitude Mission.
